Biography
Annisaa Indrarini is an urban planning and design researcher. She holds an MSc in Urban Design and City Planning from University College London and a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Universitas Gadjah Mada. With over five years of experience, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective to topics such as sustainable and inclusive development, urban transport, healthy city, and placemaking, among others. Her research and consultancy work emphasizes practical, evidence-based approaches to addressing urban challenges in rapidly changing environments. She has collaborated with a range of national and international organizations, contributing to both research and applied projects. Driven by a commitment to impact, she is particularly passionate about shaping cities that are inclusive, equitable, resilient, and sustainable to improve quality of life across diverse communities.

Annisaa was the Assistant for Urban Housing and Settlement Specialist for the National Urban Development Strategy project, implemented and managed under the Infrastructure Regional Development Agency (BPIW) of the Ministry of Public Works. She collaborated closely with the Urban Housing and Settlement as well as Planning Specialists in analyzing city profiles, track urban trends, and evaluate the regional impacts of the New Capital City (IKN) development that involved conducting rigorous data collection and policy reviews of critical national instruments. She also assisted in facilitating and supporting key stakeholder engagement and consultation processes, ensuring broad input into strategy development.

Annisaa was the Research Officer and Regional and Urban Planning Cluster Programme Officer. She contributed to projects with organizations such as ASEAN (on the topics of urbanization and public health), Deloitte Indonesia (on the topic of waste management), and C40 Cities (on public transport advocacy in Jakarta) and co-authored several paper/journal article/book chapters, exploring topics such as healthy city, adaptive public space, digital governance, climate adaptation, and risk informed development. As a Programme officer, she directed project management lifecycles, structured proposals, and coordinated seamless communication between internal teams, senior experts, and partners.
Creative life
Annisaa enjoys drawing sometimes in her spare time, with a dedicated Instagram account for her drawings where she put all her drawings inspired by things that came into her mind at random times. She also likes to sing and make a song cover that she uploads on her Soundcloud account.
