In East Kutai, coal mining's decline endangers dependent communities. Just Transition Indonesia, led by Aidy Halimanjaya and Priscillya Hotma, helps residents, especially women, build sustainable livelihoods, fostering resilience and environmental sustainability through local partnerships.

Indonesia's natural resources suffer from extraction-driven degradation. Just Transition Indonesia advocates for social and gender inclusion in Environmental Fiscal Transfers (EFTs) to support sustainable land use. In 2024, research will assess EFTs and suggest improvements.
